Bids are requested from qualified contractors that can assist SED comprehensively review its current electric tariffs and rates, and develop amended or new tariffs for the utility. The focus of the study and rate modernization is to optimize SED’s tariffs to continue to meet the utility’s need to provide safe and reliable distribution service, and account for transmission and
distribution costs, and increasing penetration of distributed generation resources and electrification projects, while reducing cross-subsidizing among and between rate classes and electricity consumers.
