![]() CEO/General Manager, Snohomish County PUD, Washington John was appointed to serve as Snohomish County PUD's CEO/General Manager on October 8, 2018. He joined the PUD in February 2017 as Assistant General Manager of Distribution & Engineering Services, bringing over 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry. In that role, he was responsible for construction, engineering, operations and maintenance of the utility’s transmission, substation, and distribution assets. He also oversaw fleet, real estate and environmental functions. Before joining the PUD, John worked for the Public Service Company of New Mexico, serving as both Director of Safety and Transmission and Distribution Engineering and Operations. He began his career at the Central Illinois Light Company where he was an IBEW journeyman for 10 years. John also worked as Vice President of Power Delivery for the Indianapolis Power and Light Company. He attended the University of Illinois and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. |
![]() President and Chief Executive Officer, WPPI Energy, Wisconsin Mike joined WPPI Energy in January 2011 as President and CEO, responsible for the organization’s leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations. He currently serves as a member of APPA’s CEO Climate Change and Generation Policy Committee, the Board of Directors of the Transmission Access Policy Study group, and the Board of Directors for the American Transmission Co. Prior to joining WPPI Energy, Peters was CEO for 16 years at the Michigan Electric Cooperative Association, the statewide trade association for Michigan’s electric cooperative industry. He also held leadership positions at the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives and the Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., where he served as general counsel. He holds a law degree from the Washburn University School of Law and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. |
![]() CEO, Roseville Electric Utility, California Dan was named Electric Utility Director in 2022. Dan oversees 190+ employees who are responsible for generation and distribution of electricity to about 70,000 residential and business customers. In addition to his responsibilities overseeing the utility, he currently serves as immediate past President of the California Municipal Utilities Association, and he represents Region 6 (Arizona, California and Nevada) on the American Public Power Association Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Dan is a current Commissioner of the Balancing Authority of Northern California and also serves public power on the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council representing the electricity industry at the federal level. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Physics from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Public Finance from National University. |
![]() CEO, Conway Corp, Arkansas Bret has been with Conway Corp for 26 years, serving first as Chief Financial Officer and now as CEO for the last seven years. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas and is a certified public accountant. He holds a Public Power Manager Certificate from the American Public Power Association. Bret also serves as the Vice President of Finance for the Arkansas Municipal Power Association, as Vice-Chair of the UCA Foundation Board, and on the Boards of Directors for organizations including the Conway Development Corporation, the Conway Airport Advisory Board, and the Conway Regional Medical Center Foundation Board. |
![]() General Manager, Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments, Massachusetts Nick joined the Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments (LELWD) in 2001 as an electrical engineer and has served as the General Manager of LELWD since his appointment in August of 2018. As LELWD’s General Manager, Nick serves a five-member elected Board of Commissioners and is responsible for the strategic direction, administration, and overall management of LELWD. Nick earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Bentley University, and he also holds a Professional Engineering license in the state of Massachusetts. Nick is the current President and serves on the Executive Committee of the Northeast Public Power Association (NEPPA), a non-profit trade association that was founded in 1965 to represent and serve consumer owned utilities in New England. |
