The City of Independence, Power & Light Department under Bid No. 21094, is soliciting proposals to provide new generation facilities through a design-build agreement at its' existing Blue Valley Power Station. A previously performed siting study determined that the most appropriate generation technologies for this site were combustion turbines or reciprocating engines from 45 to 99 MW.
