Lincoln Electric System (LES) is the municipal electric utility serving the city of Lincoln, NE and the surrounding area. LES has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) package for an energy storage pilot project to be located within the LES service territory. The RFP solicits proposals for a 10-year power purchase agreement for both (A) lithium-ion projects with a nominal rating up to 3 MW over 4 hours, and (B) energy storage projects that utilize technologies other than lithium-ion batteries, with a preference for a nominal rating of at least 250 kW and duration of 2 hours or more.
