Electricity Markets
The Public Utility Commission of Texas has received 125 notices of intent to apply for a loan through the Texas Energy Fund’s In-ERCOT Generation Loan Program.
Reliability
As operational challenges multiply, some utilities have found drones to be an effective tool to optimize limited resources and maintain safe and reliable service. Many utilities have either hired drone service providers that use professional pilots or started dedicated aviation units with their utility. In contrast, Skydio uses artificial intelligence to interpret the visual data coming from the fisheye cameras that serve as a drone’s “eyes.”
Reliability
CPS Energy recently presented the utility’s efforts to its Board of Trustees as part of summer preparedness. The San Antonio utility has now completed preparedness activities as part of the formal response to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.

The Bonneville Power Administration and the Spokane Tribe of Indians signed a memorandum of agreement that provides the Tribe with 10 years of fish and wildlife habitat funding for blocked areas of the upper Columbia River Basin.
