APPA’s Safety Series of webinars are designed to provide training on important safety issues and can be used as a monthly safety training session for employees. Utilities registering for any APPA webinar are permitted to use a speaker phone and projection screen so that more than one person can view the webinar.

Webinar Description

Utilities must ensure that employees are properly trained in basic CPR, first aid, AED use, and rescue; in the case of an emergency, proper training and education could mean the difference between life and death. This session will provide an overview of basic CPR, first aid, and AED use, as well as a step-by-step review of pole top and bucket truck rescue. The information covered in this session should supplement, not replace, training and national certifications according to the latest standards.
