The Hynes Convention Center is the best-located, best-connected convention center in North America. Located in the heart of Boston's beautiful and historic Back Bay neighborhood — and only 15 minutes from Boston’s Logan International Airport — the Hynes is the centerpiece for the outstanding hotels, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. An all-inclusive convention destination, the Hynes is directly connected to more than 3,100 hotel rooms, 200 shops and restaurants, and many other nearby conveniences.
Meanwhile, the Back Bay neighborhood centers around bustling Copley Square, home to Trinity Church, the Boston Public Library, cultural festivals, and farmers' markets. Visit Newbury Street, where shoppers can wander art galleries and designer boutiques while enjoying sidewalk cafes. Beautiful brownstones line the neighborhood's residential streets, and a stroll along Commonwealth Avenue allows visitors to take in monuments honoring many of Boston's greatest citizens.
Don't forget to explore all Boston has to offer, including world-class galleries at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, kayaking on the Charles River, and, of course, Major League Baseball's oldest stadium: Fenway Park. Boston is also home to a host of green spaces, public art, and walkable neighborhood districts. Discover Boston's dining, activities, sights, and more.

What is the conference dress code?
The attire for the conference is business casual. Meeting room temperatures vary, so prepare to dress for cool conditions.
What is the APPA Code of Conduct for meeting attendees?
Attendees of American Public Power Association meetings agree to abide by the APPA Code of Conduct. If attendees engage in unacceptable behavior as outlined in the Code of Conduct, the Association may take any action it deems appropriate, including but not limited to, expulsion from the current and future meetings, with no warning or refund.
How can I present at the conference?
We welcome your topic and speaker ideas for future conferences and events. Submit your idea for consideration at a future event. Conference topics are generally determined 6-8 months before the event is held, and submissions will be kept on file for a full year. If the agenda for the conference has already been determined, your ideas will be considered for the next year’s event, or in case a space opens up in the current year’s program. You will be contacted only if your idea is selected for an upcoming conference.
