The Advisory Committee provides a forum for discussion on policy and legislative issues for multi-service state and regional associations comprised of either all public power or combined public power and cooperative members.

Legislative & Resolutions Committee
Members of the Association’s Legislative and Resolutions Committee meet twice a year to propose and vote on new policy resolutions, which are then voted on by all Association members. Learn more about taking action through the L&R Committee.

Policy Makers Council
The American Public Power Association’s Policy Makers Council has 45 members — elected or appointed officials on the governing bodies of public power communities. Four members are appointed to the PMC from each of the 10 geographic regions. The PMC meets twice a year in Washington, D.C., and visits with elected representatives and congressional staff on issues critical to public power.
