The American Public Power Association (APPA) is giving interested persons and organizations the opportunity to help develop the 17th edition of the APPA Safety Manual through the submittal of proposed changes to the manual.

Since 1955, APPA’s Safety Manual has been a vital tool for public power utility workplace safety programs.

In order to ensure relevance and accuracy, the Safety Manual is updated every four to five years to reflect important changes in the industry, as well as National Electrical Safety Code and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.

The deadline to submit proposed changes to the manual is Feb. 11, 2022.

The change proposal form is available here and additional information about APPA’s safety offerings is available here.
