The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) on April 28 will host EnergyCareers2022, a free, virtual career exploration event and job fair.
APPA is a member of CEWD.
The energy sector employs more than six million people, a number expected to grow over the next several years, as hundreds of thousands of jobs are forecasted to be filled, CEWD noted. Accordingly, industry recruiters want to connect with students and adults exploring new career options.
Day-long programming will offer 17 educational sessions covering topics including:
- Why now is the time to join the energy industry
- Exploring engineering and technical careers in energy
- Exploring trade careers in energy
- How to find an energy career or internship
