Webinar Overview
Environmental justice is at the forefront of the Biden administration’s whole of government approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected disproportionately to high and adverse human health or environmental effects. To that end the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is leading the charge to include environmental justices considerations in permitting decisions, compliance, and enforcement.
This webinar will provide an overview of the legal basis for environmental justice, EPA’s regulations and policies relating to environmental justice, and the Biden Administration’s and EPA’s recent statements and actions regarding environmental justice. This presentation will discuss practical considerations associated with environmental justice concerns.
