For more than 80 years, the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) Electric Program has financed the creation, expansion, and modernization of rural electric systems; providing access to affordable and reliable electricity to sustain rural communities across the country.

In this webinar, you will learn about low-cost financing and technical assistance that can help eligible local power systems maintain reliable electric service while keeping rates affordable.

RUS will share practical information on low-cost financial resources for investments in utility plants (transmission, distribution, smart grid), supply options (generation and renewable energy), and utilities looking to bring greater energy efficiency directly to their customers.

  • Overview of loan programs and purposes – including capital projects, renewable projects owned or as a PPA offtaker, energy efficiency programs, and high energy cost grants
