Webinar Overview

Transformer, wire, and conduit are in short supply as the U.S. supply chain experiences strains related to the pandemic. Public power utilities are facing increasing prices, extended delays, and a lack of vendors to bid on contracts for critical materials to build and maintain their system.

Discuss some of the out of the box options public power utilities and purchasing agents are pursuing to overcome these challenges. From partnering with other entities (including joint action agencies, investor-owned utilities, and coops) to piggyback off larger contracts to providing shared warehousing, review how cities and public power utilities are using these strategies and more. Also get tips for holding vendors to the obligations to deliver, and revisit contracting best practices in the constrained supply chain environment that may be a reality for the next several years.
