In October, the Department of Energy announced recipients of the first round of funding for the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnership (GRIP) Program, a federal grant program designed to support investments in grid resilience, smart grid technology, and grid innovation. The October announcement represented about $3.5 billion of the total of $10.5 billion that will be available through GRIP. Concept papers for the second round of funding are due January 12, 2024.
