The American Public Power Association is hosting a virtual, half-day seminar on Island Territory Storm Preparedness for island utility partners, response partners, and all of public power. This interactive online seminar will discuss actions utilities and partners can take now to be ready for future storm events, and discuss post-incident mutual aid coordination, damage assessment, transportation, logistics, and incident management. The seminar will also provide an in-depth discussion on incident financial management, public assistance, cost recovery, and forward-looking strategies and opportunities for supporting restoration events with island utilities. The seminar will consist of presentations, live audience polling, and virtual panel discussions. Attendees are encouraged to take part in Q&A sessions following sessions on transportation, incident finance, and mutual aid with special considerations for the COVID-19 pandemic
