Reclosers can be attractive to utilities as they reduce the number of both sustained and momentary outages. Florida Municipal Power Agency demonstrated the use of single-phase reclosers in three member cities to reduce outages on laterals at a reasonable cost. Learn about the results of their pilot test with single-phase reclosers in this webinar.
This technology is suited for both large and small utilities seeking to reduce sustained outages and improve SAIFI and SAIDI metrics, as most faults can be avoided using reclosers in lateral locations. We highly recommend this webinar to anyone interested in improving system reliability. Check out this article for details.
