'Reliability Power Hour' is among topics at Engineering & Operations Technical Conference

From the March 8, 2013 issue of Public Power Daily

Understanding and improving distribution system reliability is not an easy task; utilities need to know their own systems, from policies to equipment, including the options available to improve reliability.

On Tuesday, March 26, during APPA's 2013 Engineering & Operations Technical Conference, APPA staff will present data from the association's 2011 distribution system reliability and operations survey at a session called "Reliability Power Hour." There will be an open discussion on common reliability questions. This session also will cover APPA’s eReliability Tracker software for those who want to view data, ask questions and see demonstrations of useful calculations.

This year's E&O Conference takes place March 24-27 in Kissimmee, Fla. To review the full conference program, visit publicpower.org/EandO. Any questions about the E&O can be directed to Miriam Ellis at 202/467-2994 orMEllis@PublicPower.org.
