APPA CEO Roundtable to examine geopolitical landscape

At the 2014 CEO Roundtable, energy and geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan will discuss the impacts of geography and access to resources—whether cultural, military, economic, financial, political, or energy—and will talk about how the changing global landscape, including the winding down of the global war on terror and the shale energy revolution, are reshaping America’s economic and strategic opportunities.

Peter Zeihan launched his firm, Zeihan on Geopolitics, in 2012. He previously served as vice president of analysis for Stratfor, a geopolitical intelligence firm that provides strategic analysis and forecasting to individuals and organizations around the world. 

The CEO Roundtable also will feature geoscientist Scott Tinker on the future of energy, the environment and the economy; and utility and industry panelists on the opportunities and challenges of distributed generation. 

The meeting is open exclusively to officials from APPA member utilities, joint action agencies and state and regional associations.

The 2014 CEO Roundtable will be held March 23-25 at the Arizona Biltmore hotel in Phoenix, Ariz.
