APPA’s seasonal education institutes offer in-depth training courses for all skill levels. Institutes allow attendees to focus on a single topic or spend the week in multiple classes for more comprehensive training.

Classes are designed by instructors who have decades of industry experience and understand the specific needs of public power utilities. The Institute format also provides an excellent opportunity to network with industry peers and earn continuing education credits.

**Certificate program pricing include all required courses, the program enrollment fee and any post-course requirements.

***The program enrollment fee covers the cost of study material, exam grading, and review of the post-course projects. This fee is included in the $2,100 certificate program price.

A third party claiming to represent APPA is contacting attendees of upcoming APPA conferences and offering assistance with hotel reservations. No such third party is affiliated with APPA or authorized to represent us — please do NOT make hotel reservations through any third party that may contact you by phone or email.

APPA maintains room blocks with specially negotiated rates at all our conference hotels and attendees are encouraged to only use the online reservation links, phone numbers, and discount codes available on the APPA website for each event.

Hotel Reservation & Cancellation Policy
All reservations require a non-refundable room deposit equal to one night room and tax that will be charged to your credit card at the time your reservations is made. Note: In the event that APPA cancels a course, this deposit will be waived.

Location
All courses will be held in the Hilton Minneapolis. The hotel is located 10 miles from the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. Taxi fare is approximately $20 (one way). Please contact the hotel for transportation options.

Travel Arrangements/Hotel Parking
Travel arrangements and costs associated with hotel parking are the responsibility of the participants. APPA will not reimburse for changes in travel expenditures regardless of the cause.

Cancellations/No-Show/Refunds/Substitutions
Registrants who cancel in writing at least 5 business days before the event, are entitled to a refund of their registration fee, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Registrants who cancel within 4 business days of the event, will not receive a refund, but attendee substitutions will be allowed for this event only. Registrants and no-shows who cancel within 4 business days are responsible for the full registration fee and are not entitled to a refund.

Confirmations
Confirmations will be sent via e-mail.

Name Badges
Name badges can be picked up at the APPA registration desk at the hotel starting at 7:30 a.m. on the first day of each course and must be worn by all Institute attendees.

Meals
Beverage breaks are included in the registration fee. All meals are on your own.

WiFi
WiFi will only be available in hotel common areas (sleeping rooms and hotel lobby), and will not be available in APPA meeting rooms. Please make arrangements to use cellular data on your device, or bring a MiFi or Internet hotspot for personal use. APPA will not provide a password for WiFi.
